Swipe Memo Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

 

Swipe Memo requests certain permissions from your Android device and collects certain information from you as a user to provide specific functionalities and conveniences. We understand your privacy is important to you and this document explains why Swipe Memo requires the permissions it requests and how we collect, use, and protect your information.

 

*Memo refers to a String data set which contains title, contents, created date, modified date, pinned, deleted, and deleted date and is written through floating Swipe Memo Memo and presented on memo tab.

*Todo refers to a String data set which contains content, registered date, belonging date and is written through floating Swipe Memo Todo tab.

 

  1. Permissions Requested

 

Below is an explanation of the various permission types requested and used by Swipe Memo:

1.Read and Write Calendar

Used for reading Google Calendars account information and registering todos on Google Calendars.

2.Receive boot completed

Used to automatically launch Swipe Memo upon boot. If Swipe Memo does not work after restarting your phone, please start application to start up floating memo.

3.System alert window

Used to turn on floating window support required for Swipe Memo’s functionality. At present, only Android Marshmallow 6.0.0 devices need this to be manually enabled, which we provide guides for. If your phone also needs this permission to be manually set.

4.Internet

Used to back up your memos using Google Drive

 

  1. Information We Collect

Swipe Memo is a local storage based application and don’t have any own remote server to collect data except for Log Data.

In providing our services, we collect, store and use the following Information relating to you:

“Log Data” is technical information that is automatically collected by us when you use our services:

Application usage data, which means information related to usage of swipe memo such as frequency of usage, hours of use, crash rate and cause of crash and malfunctioning.

metadata, which means information related to items you have made available through our services, such as the date, time.

 

Log Data is collected through Goolge Firebase Analytics and we follow their policy and Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

 

III. How We Use Your Information

We may use your Information for any of the following purposes:

to provide our services to you;

for improving our service, customer service;

 

  1. Transfer, Storage, and Security of Your Personal Information

Swipe Memo is a local storage based application which don’t have any own remote storage.

We use Realm for storing memo and todo data and support Google Drive and Google Calendar back up functionality.

We highly recommend you to use those back up functionalities for the possibility of loss your data because of several unexpected cause.

Please be aware that no data security measures can guarantee 100% security at all times. Our systems and the communications networks through which you access our services may be subject to security breaches and failures which are due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If you have any questions regarding the security of your Personal Information, please contact us.

 

  1. Policy Changes and Amendments

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will post any changes on this page, so please review it periodically. If you do not agree to this policy or any modifications made to it hereafter, please immediately stop use of our application or related services. Your continued use constitutes your acceptance of our policy and any revisions made to it. Please note that none of our employees or agents have the authority to vary the applicability of our policies.
